Comment by Graham Storer on November 10, 2008 at 1:32pm Delete Comment IF YOU ARE INTERESTED in developing the Faith Domain, please contact Graham Storer (me!) and come to The HUB, Union Baptist Church, Easton Street on Monday 17th November at 7.30pm. Park in the Easton Street multi-storey car park. This applies irrespective of your personal faith. And it won't be that technical. More a use and content exploration. I'll put "minutes" up on this site in case you cannot attend. ATB, Graham

Comment by Graham Storer on November 10, 2008 at 1:38pm Delete Comment Any budding logo designers might like to make contact. We could hold a competition! Still finding out what can be done with the site (Mike Watson has been very helpful). Need square logos for the "inter-faith" level (replacing the one above) and ones for individual faiths. Must be square in format b(but not design!).

Thanks Mike for reinstating the site. I'll try not to break it again :-)

Sorry not to post these notes earlier as promised but a technical glitch meant that no comments could be posted.
Those people available met on November 10th to look at the “empty” Faith box created for us.by Mike Watts.
We brainstored content and struture possibilities and a couple of first actions were agreed one of which was to take advantage of the Events section to promote churches’ events that have a relevance to the general community. This would get us very quickly into using the site with useful illustrative content.
I had a go at Ads for Christmas Fayres for WWNS each Friday, the Bryn Haworth concert and an ad for Christmas Day in churches. It has a traditional face but inside you should find a clickable e-card by Jacquie Lawson – the cat and the bauble. Sadly, JL do not do any Christian e-cards, but you will see that in with the credits there is a hint for JL to do so. I have sent an enquiry requesting permission to use the card in this way (it advertises them!!) and to propose any change to credits.
The ads are very easy to put up (must be square!), but we certainly need to agree and publish on the site a church (indeed faith) ontology to use so that we can apply consistency for searching for items by keyword. I don't mean all the theological words - just simple words for the tags - do we tag as Church or Churches, for instance?

I am proposing to Wycombe Winter Night Shelter (referenced in the old site that crashed) that they have a separate group (I can do that) and using WWNS as an example we can take a second action which is to explore how content might be addressed.and maybe even a blog that can run through the perod of the Night Shelter (with some photos).

JESUS-GS.pps Recommend to access by right clicking the mouse and opening in a separate window - easier to stop that way by simply closing window!)
Here is a PowerPoint that I did some years ago It highlights the significance of water, waves and wind in the life of Jesus during his 3 years of public ministry from 30 years of age to 33. I'm nearly 63 and have been at it much longer and achieved much less :-).
