It would be good to get the video done for this site

As a trustee of Friends of Wycombe Resource Zone I would love members (of which there are 500+) to put their stories and pictures on here.
We are a community resource used by huge numbers of people across Wycombe and the surrounding areas.Do post comments or pictures so we can all be amazed/inspired/threatened by your brilliance in using stuff that would have been in landfill if you hadn't rescued it from WRZ!
Let us know why and how you or your group use WRZ and just what do you do with a bit of foam and a plastic container? With the news that Blue Peter presenters are at the Palace today to celebrate their golden jubilee I'm pretty sure our members could give them a run for their money in the plastic pot and loo roll conversion stakes!!! The Wycombe Resource Zone is brilliant - for a DIYer like me. The challenge to use in some way the things that can be found there keeps my brain ticking on. Plus the banter with the friendly volunteer staff (although there's one that keeps me in my place!). Cost is presently a very reasonable £30 or so (annual charges do vary slightly depending on the type of member). Many schools, playgroups and youth groups belong, as well as individuals like you and me that find this kind of "flea market" atmosphere enjoyable.

I took my camera this morning and I include a few pictures of some of the items in mass supply - but there's a lot of individual items too.

Even decorate a tub and go to sleep on it!

I've made good use of the materials in the zone for both the Fourways Theatre Group and the Beaconsfield Theatre Group that I build sets for. The drums pictured on the site were used as the bases for thrones, wood for set building, material for seat covering, and door knobs. The money we save helps us put more interesting plays on in the future.
